It gives me such great pleasure to share Beth and John’s wedding with you.
The morning of the wedding we arranged to meet in the national trust car park which is a short stroll from the famous Wheal Coates engine house. This part of the north coast is breathtakingly beautiful, steeped in heritage and with its rustic charm it was the perfect backdrop for a Cornish wedding. Like many couples, Beth and John told me in our first initial meeting that they were not that comfortable being in front of the camera, and I can totally relate to this as I have been there to! For me there is nothing worse than seeing over posed wedding photos, but everyone has different tastes and thank goodness or we would live in a boring world. There are so many elements that make a great wedding photographer and this is something I should probably write about in a separate post but one of the hardest skills I believe to learn is making shots that have been set up look and feel natural. For me this has taken years to master and I don’t think will ever stop developing. It is of course fundamental that the more you can make your subjects feel at ease the easier you will find this transform into great photography. Anyways enough with the waffle, I hope you enjoy looking at this beautiful wedding as much as I enjoyed photographing it.
Beth and John, thank you so much for putting your trust in me to capture your big day! X
